Acturis co-chief executive Theo Duchen said: "Swinton is a big broker in its own right in commercial. We've done really well. This is a big deal for the market. The main thing is to ensure our clients get the most out of the work we put in."

Paul Cassidy, head of information systems development at Swinton, said: "We are sending a clear signal to the market with this development that Swinton is serious about commercial business."
