Loss adjuster Ashworth Mairs Group (AMG) has launched its own dedicated property repair network, SPRN, aimed at shaving 15% off indemnity claims.

The new company will cater for property claims ranging from £2,500 to £25,000

The company said it would deliver cost savings by cutting marketing and tendering from the overall spend of building suppliers.

AMG group chief executive David Mairs said the new company would also be able to deliver bespoke management information and real time access to claims status.

He said contractors linked to the network would work to tailor-made reduced repair rates, fixed for two years. The rates would be designed to eliminate variations in pricing while helping to tackle fraud and claims leakage.

"SPRN represents the first in a series of initiatives outside our core loss adjusting activities, which we plan to bring to market in 2005," said Mairs.

"We aim to innovate by developing solutions for our clients that support them in cost control and customer retention and which ultimately protect and strengthen their claims brands."
