Obtains court approval for transfer

Admiral Group has obtained court approval for the transfer of the business of Lloyd's Syndicate 2004 to Admiral Insurance Company, pursuant to Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.

Syndicate 2004 underwrote a share of the premiums retained by the Group from 2000 to 2002. From 2003 the Group underwrote its share of UK private motor business through Admiral Insurance Company and Admiral Insurance (Gibraltar).

Under the transfer, the remaining liabilities of Syndicate 2004 now vest in Admiral Insurance Company.

In a Stock Exchange announcement, Admiral said: "The transfer will simplify our group structure, accounting and regulatory processes and streamline our capital position. The impact of the transfer on the results of Admiral for the year ended 31 December 2007 will not be material."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
