Gibraltar-based motor underwriter Advantage Insurance is to start writing home insurance back into the UK.
The company, which was set up last year, is working towards writing £50m of home insurance business within the next three years.
Advantage has a total capacity of around £150m a year with a licence to write both household and motor.
A market source said the company was moving into household, as it had spare capacity left over from last year.
