Cover will be available through direct and aggregator channels

Ageas has signed a five-year deal to underwrite car insurance for John Lewis Insurance.

Ageas will also handle the sales, administration and claims services.

The cover will be available through a range of distribution options, including direct and aggregator channels.

Ageas Retail chief executive Mark Cliff said: “Working with such a valuable partner, Ageas will continue to provide high levels of customer care, combined with a product that meets the needs of its discerning customers.

“Our new five-year agreement is testament to our unwavering focus on service delivery and innovation, and underpins our increasing strength in partnerships.”

Several insurers will underwrite different parts of the policy, but Ageas will retain the position of lead panel underwriter.

Ageas has been underwriting travel insurance policies for John Lewis Insurance since 2012.
