From November 1 Ageas will be the underwriter for all former Groupama covers
Ageas has won a High Court approval to transfer all the business from Groupama Insurance Company Limited (GICL).
From November 1, Ageas will be the underwriter of all former Groupama covers, which are now branded Ageas Optima and Ageas Exclusively.
Ageas’ chief executive, François-Xavier Boisseau, said: “The High Court’s approval is a very important step in the process to become one business under one strong brand.
“Brokers are already starting to benefit from access to a greatly enhanced proposition in personal and commercial lines business, as a result of the integration process.
“Our whole objective is to empower brokers with the products and tools to better serve their customers by capitalising on our combined strengths in standard product lines and specialist niche areas.”
Ageas acquired Groupama in 2012 and has gone through a legal transfer process of moving the Groupama businesses into Ageas, which is now complete.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
