Congressional Budget Office fixes expected price of Tarp
The US Congressional Budget Office says the government bailout of AIG will cost $36bn in an updated report on the Treasury's Troubled Asset Relief Programme (Tarp), Dow Jones reports.
The total public costs of the programs will amount to $109 billion over the next decade, the CBO said.
