Air France's insurers will be reviewing the airline's premium payments when its policy comes up for renewal.

An underwriter at St Paul's syndicate 340, Matthew Shaw, said: “Air France insurers will be reviewing the renewal premium on December 1 in view of the fact they have had a substantial loss.

“But, once the aircraft are in service again, they will be covered under Air France's general policy and British Airways (BA) will be covering its fleet under its own general policy.”

BA said its Concorde insurance situation would remain the same as it was before last July's Air France crash.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
