Neil Clutterback to succeed retiring Allianz Commercial underwriting chief Geoff Moylan

Neil Clutterback will become the new director of underwriting and technical at Allianz Commercial.

He will succeed Geoff Moylan who will be retiring from the business on May 31.

Chris Hanks, general manager, Allianz Commercial said: “I am delighted that we have been able to fill such an important and pivotal role with someone who has been through our own internal development programme.”

Moylan joined Allianz in 1998 following the Group’s takeover of AGF.

Moylan said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Allianz Commercial and to have played a part in creating a market leading commercial insurer has been hugely satisfying. Neil is a very able and talented successor and I wish him nothing but success in his new role.”

Clutterbuck said: “Leading Allianz Engineering was a terrific period in my career but this is a fantastic opportunity for me to influence the whole of commercial division.

"Geoff is a tough act to follow and I aim to build upon the outstanding work he has done in establishing Allianz Commercial’s reputation for underwriting discipline and technical excellence."
