30 scholars meet at launch event held at the CII

Allianz Partner Academy launch

Allianz Commercial hosted a launch event to welcome the first intake of the Allianz Partner Academy Scholarship Programme.

The 30 successful applicants, along with their broker sponsors, were joined by hosts the Chartered Insurance Institute’s chief executive Sandy Scott and Allianz Insurance’s general manager Chris Hanks, along with representatives from Allianz’s regional branches at the CII’s headquarters in the City of London.

The company received more than 100 applications for the new scheme, which will enable scholars to achieve their CII Diploma in Insurance in 18 months with access to tuition, revision sessions, free study texts and networking opportunities. The courses begin in May and will be held at a variety of locations in the UK, including London, Manchester and Birmingham.

Hanks said: “This is a fantastic new programme that is unique to Allianz and our partner brokers. The enhanced curriculum demonstrates our long-term commitment to raising professional standards across the industry. We are very pleased with the high standard of applications we received and look forward to working with tomorrow’s broking leaders to support them in achieving their CII Diploma in Insurance.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
