AM Best has affirmed its syndicate rating of "A+" (superior) and issuer credit rating of "aa-" of AIG Lloyd's Syndicate 1414 with a stable outlook.
In a statement AM Best said the action resolved the “under review status” which it had placed on AIG member groups following the departure of the company's chief executive Maurice Greenberg last week.
AM Best said: “The explicit support from American Home Assurance Company factored in the ratings of Syndicate 1414 remains unchanged.”
Syndicate 1414 is managed by Ascot Underwriting.
