Small investors still trying – and failing - to stop break-up
Small investors who lost money in the break-up of Fortis failed in a Brussels court to stop the integration of Fortis Bank Belgium with French bank BNP Paribas.
Mischael Modrikamen, the lawyer representing the shareholders said an appeal was highly likely. He said a final ruling on the legality of the break-up of the company could come within a year.
