Giant broker Aon is basking in the limelight this week after backing four Oscar winners – American Beauty, The Matrix, Girl, Interrupted and Topsy Turvy.
Aon plays a major role in helping make films go from script to the silver screen.
As well as identifying financial risks, by reviewing scripts, production schedules and budgets, it also cover losses for potential political risks that may
face filming or if bad weather ruins a location or if there are problems with the star.
This year 23 films that Aon insured were nominated for the Academy Awards.
The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
