24 April, 2007 will be a day of celebration for Aon offices around the world, as the company celebrates two decades of business.

Pat Ryan, Aon founder and executive chairman, commented: "It has been thrilling to see the original strategy -- that of being an advisor to the client with experts who know all about an industry -- carried forward globally."

Peter Harmer, named chief executive officer of Aon and country manager of Aon UK, earlier this year, said: "Our clients are facing bigger and more complex risk issues. It is a major cultural shift and requires us to really understand our clients' business and the risks they face. Rather than simply acting as product resellers, we need to create innovative needs-driven solutions that will enhance our relationship with them."
