Aon's profits fell in the third quarter due to losses from discontinued operations.

The world's second largest broker reported earnings of $114m, or 36 cents per share, against $127m, or 46 cents per share at the same point last year.

The company said it reached a $200m settlement with its own insurers for its property claim relating to the destruction of the World Trade Centre.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
