‘Stategically important’ acquisition to grow number of brokers trading with APC
APC has bought the renewal rights to Vision Underwriting Limited’s book of commercial business.
The commercial insurance underwriting agency has also taken over the administration of any outstanding policies relating to D&O, property and legal expenses placed through Vision with Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe Limited.
Half of the brokers who previously placed business with Vision already have an agency with APC.
The remaining brokers will be contacted this week to discuss new trading arrangements.
APC chief executive Brian Russell said: “We are delighted to have concluded our long-running negotiations to acquire the renewal rights to Vision’s book of business.
“This strategically important acquisition will both significantly increase the number of brokers with whom APC trades and allow our business to fast-track the introduction of new lines of business.
“With the deal now completed our focus is firmly on ensuring that Vision brokers and their clients continue to experience a high level of service and access to market-leading products via APC’s Quote-Mac trading platform.”
