Argent Insurance Group has acquired the business of Leicestershire-based Brough-ton Astley Insurance Service for an undiclosed sum.
This latest acquisition brings Argent a substantial book of motor and household business, which will be transferred to the Argent branch based in nearby Wigston.
Argent's managing director Paul Dodds said: “As part of Cox Insurance Retail Division, we are actively pursuing a growth strategy both to build our branch network and to generate more business for each of our branches.
“This latest acquisition will substantially increase our business in the Wigston branch. Our staff there are well acquainted with the area and the needs of local customers. We are confident of building long-term relationships with these customers.”
