Lloyd's insurer Argo adds to international treaty team

Argo International has appointed Craig Roberts as class underwriter of its international treaty team.

Roberts takes over from James Braddock, who will be leaving Argo International to pursue other opportunities.

Roberts has been working with Aon Benfield’s reinsurance division and global binder team since 2005.

In his new role, he will manage Argo International’s international treaty book and will work closely with Andrew Carrier, Argo International underwriting director and president of Argo Re.

Argo International chief executive, Julian Enoizi, said: “Craig’s history in both broking and underwriting disciplines have given him a broad view of the international treaty market, the specialist requirements of reinsurance buyers and excellent relationships with the broking community.

"I am confident that he will make an enormous contribution, both to the development of this business line and to Argo’s wider reinsurance strategy.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
