Jim Horrell to drive online trading platform

Arista has appointed Jim Horrell as business development manager for its recently launched online trading platform.

Joining from SSP owned insurance distribution network, Key Choice, where he was head of broker relations, Horrell will be responsible for developing online trading relationships with brokers across the UK.

Commenting on the appointment, Arista’s chief executive officer Charles Earle said: “We launched our online platform to give brokers an even more cost effective way of trading. Jim’s experience in working with brokers and systems will be invaluable both to us and to our brokers as we help them to use our technology to grow their business.”

Horrell has 37 years experience in the industry. Prior to Key Choice he spent 29 years at Commercial Union/CGU in various management and sales roles.

Horrell added: “Technology is really changing the face of our industry and it can certainly make life much easier for brokers. However, to really add value it needs to be backed up by an experienced team and a service philosophy to provide the level of support that brokers need. This is very much the attitude of Arista and so I’m delighted to be getting involved in the early stages of their online development. I know brokers will get great benefit from trading this way with Arista and I very much look forward to developing relationships with them.”
