New product follows launch of tradesmen and professionals product earlier this month

Arista, the commercial lines underwriting organisation, has launched a contractors combined policy. This follows the launch of its tradesmen and professionals product earlier this month.

The new contractors product includes public liability cover with an optional financial loss extension, employers' liability with an optional working partners extension and contractors' all risks cover with an optional plant extension. legal expenses protection is also available.

Arista’s head of liability, Carl Steventon, said: “Most of our brokers have clients who require contractors cover, after all it is the second largest industry sector in the UK, and so it was essential for an ambitious company such as ours to compete in this market. The introduction of contractors combined, which sits comfortably among the best in the market, along with tradesmen and professionals which we launched just a few weeks ago, is further evidence of us keeping our promise to provide brokers with products and services designed around their needs.”

The recently launched tradesmen and professionals product provides the compulsory covers of public liability and legal expenses and a wide range of optional protection including employers' liability with working partners extension, tools and business equipment, and business contents. It is designed for businesses that generally do not have premises, typically home-based tradesmen or professionals.
