Aspen Risk Management, part of Aspen Insurance UK, has bought some commercial insurance renewal rights and related assets from M4 Underwriting.
Some M4 staff will move to Aspen Risk as part of the deal, which will offer renewal terms to commercial combined policyholders for all policies due for renewal from 1 August 2011.
Aspen Risk and M4 will be talking to brokers about the arrangements over the coming weeks.
Aspen Risk Management managing director Kevin Pallett said: "We look forward to offering M4’s brokers and clients a wider service that includes our full range of health and safety, business continuity, risk management HR and data back-up services."
