Glen Marshall joins motor broker

Van insurance broker Autonet has hired Glen Marshall as head of underwriting.

Before joining Autonet, Marshall was an assistant product manager at AXA, managing the company’s household schemes.

Prior to AXA, Marshall worked at Ageas as both new products underwriter and senior commercial vehicle underwriter. He has also worked for BDML Connect in various roles, including manager of the technical underwriting unit.

In his new job at Autonet, Marshall will develop and ensure the profitability of the company’s delegated authority schemes. Part of his role will be expanding into areas insurers may not normally target and fine-tuning insurers’ pricing using the data Autonet has access to.

Marshall said: “This was an opportunity I could not resist.  I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first few weeks at Autonet and I’m looking forward to the exciting challenge ahead.”

Autonet managing director Ian Donaldson said: “Glen’s experience and knowledge within the insurance industry will be invaluable to us all here at Autonet as we prepare to move forward in 2014.

“On behalf of everyone at Autonet I would like to welcome Glen and wish him the best of luck.”
