Insurers sponsors David Newman’s charity arctic trek

Carole Nash boss David Newman is heading for the Arctic for final preparations for his charity walk to the north pole according to his latest blog entry.

He celebrated with a night out at the Belowzero ice bar in London where everything is made out of ice and the temperature is -5C. Where he’s going it will be much colder.

Corproate donations have included David McMillan at Aviva, Carl O'Sullivan of Arthur Cox Solicitors and Axa Assistance's Jesus Carmona.

Boorman tweets

Actor turned adventure biker Charley Boorman has plugged Newman’s ride via Twitter and his Facebook page, as he is a big supporter of Riders for Health.

“My next update will be from deep inside the Arctic Circle where I'll be acclimatising and training ready for this amazing adventure,” Newman says.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
