Martin Banks moves from Aviva’s European business

Aviva has hired Martin Banks to the new role of global relationships director.

Banks will be based in London and report directly to UK strategic partnerships director, Ant Middle.

He will be responsible for strengthening relationships with partners who both distribute products manufactured by Aviva and provide services to the group and its businesses.

“This is a new role, created to gain a deeper and broader understanding of our strategic partners’ operations and enabling us to identify and maximise global opportunities,” Middle said in a statement.

Banks was previously commercial development director at Aviva’s European business. Before that, he spent more than three years in Aviva North America as senior vice president, strategy and corporate development.
