Aviva to promote multicar insurance products

Paul Whitehouse

Fast Show comic Paul Whitehouse is to star once more in an Aviva advertising campaign, this time on multicar insurance.

Admiral spent heavily last year on adverts to promote multicar insurance, and now Aviva is doing the same.

The new advert will show Whitehouse as a ‘Brummie fishing fanatic’ called Ollie. Ollie spends his saved money from multicar insurance on a pair of waterproof chest waders, reports Marketing Week.

Whitehouse starred in a string of Aviva adverts last year promoting cheap car insurance deals. Viewers can download a Facebook app allowing them to interact with ‘Ollie’s Garage’.

Heather Smith, director of marketing at Aviva, said: “This new campaign builds on the success of previous Paul Whitehouse ads and, for the first time, we’re extending the reach of the character beyond TV. In ‘Ollie’s Garage’, users can play, watch, create and share different elements, bringing the character to life through social media.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
