AXA has appointed Guy Stouls as marketing and underwriting director, subject to regulatory approval.
Stouls will focus on the growth of AXA's business, as well as building and expanding on its underwriting strengths across its existing portfolio.
Stouls is currently the chairman and chief executive of Direct Assurance, AXA's direct business which operates across several countries in Europe.
He has over 20 years' experience within AXA, having previously worked for AXA Direct, AXA Assurances and Drouot Assurances in positions including director of branches and technical director.
Stouls will assume his new role in January 2006.
