Company to offer standalone breakdown cover to broker’s classic car customers

AXA Assistance has extended its partnership with classic car broker Footman James by offering standalone breakdown cover to classic car owners.

AXA Assistance already has an agreement to provide breakdown cover to customers who buy Footman James’s classic vehicle insurance.

The new agreement allows the company to offer breakdown cover on a standalone basis through Footman James, which it hopes will reach a wider customer base.

The standalone breakdown policy is aimed at vehicles aged 20 years or more. It enables motorists to have their vehicle recovered to a garage of their choice if it cannot be repaired at the roadside.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
