AXA Commercial Lines has won chartered status by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

The insurer got the status after showing evidence of its commitment to professionalism.

AXA Commercial Lines commercial director Alasdair Stewart said: "The chartered titles awarded by the CII are a gold standard of excellence and integrity, and so we are proud to be one of the first to call ourselves a chartered insurer."

Chartered Insurance Institute chief executive Dr Sandy Scott said: "Amanda Blanc has been a great advocate for professionalism and of the need of the insurance sector to embrace higher standards of technical competency and ethical behaviour."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
