Former Erinaceous insurer appoints property specialist.
Barbon Insurance Group, formerly known as Erinaceous Insurance Services, has appointed Duncan Cogdell as head of client services for its property and construction arm (P&C).
As head of client services, Cogdell will work closely with the P&C division’s senior management to help strengthen relationships with existing commercial property clients as well as generate new business opportunities.
He will focus on establishing a presence for the business in the construction sector.
Nick Sharp, managing director of Barbon’s P&C division, said: “After a challenging year, we are now positioned and ready to expand our ambitions in the commercial property sector.
“Duncan Cogdell has considerable organisational and operational experience, and I am very pleased he has joined our senior management team at this key phase of our business development strategy.”
Prior to joining Barbon Insurance Group, Cogdell was managing director of the property and construction division of Aascent Insurance Brokers, where he was responsible for delivery of budgets, new business performance and client service delivery.
He also managed the company’s overseas operations.
