Claimed and Shamed series will follow the work of the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department

A two-week BBC programme highlighting the work of the Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED) starts today.

The second series of the Claimed and Shamed show will follow the specialist City of London Police unit as it tackles organised and opportunistic insurance fraud in England and Wales.

Viewers will get to see the team’s investigations, as its detectives and financial investigators execute warrants, arrest suspects and seize evidence.

Updates will be provided from cases in the first series, which was screened everyday, for two weeks in 2012 and was watched by more than a million people each day.

Claimed and Shamed will be shown on BBC One at 11.45am every weekday from Monday 16 to Friday 27 September.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
