The British Damage Management Association (BDMA) will launch on December 1 at Lloyd's. The BDMA will be the only UK organisation devoted to regulating professional standards in the industry.
The formation of the association, which was proposed at an insurers and loss adjusters' seminar in August, has been welcomed by all sectors of the insurance industry and has the support of the ABI.
Keynote speaker at the launch event is Andy Tomlinson, UK claims service manager at Prudential. Peter Robinson, head of insurance at HM Treasury, and Jackie Blewett of the ABI will also attend.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
