The famed courier service from One Lime Street to Chatham – whereby white vans transport stacks of paper from Lloyd’s insurers to a warehouse – will cease to exist come 1 April 2008.

But apparently this may not be the end, as insurers will be free to run their own van service at their own cost.

However, in the true spirit of “reform or die”, Backchat thinks that Lloyd’s chief exec Richard Ward should crush any rogue Ford Transits and arrange them neatly on the Lloyd’s trading floor – all in the name of art, of course.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
