Lloyd’s broker will use shareholder investment for acquisitions
Lloyd’s broker Besso Insurance Group has secured £5m additional investment capital from shareholders to expand into new markets and to fund acquisitions.
In a statement, Besso said the investment follows its recent restructuring of the group and its management team together with a significant reduction in the group’s debt.
Besso chairman Colin Bird said: “We are pleased to have raised this initial funding and have a number of targets in which we are interested.
“Our business has been restructured and has a strong, robust platform on which we can now build our future.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
