More than 30,000 of the best doctors in the world have been collated into a new database that is to be made available online.
has created the database that gives details of the best medical practitioners, as voted for by fellow specialists.
The service has been up and running in the US since 1992.
Todd Farha, president of Best Doctors, said: “There was very little information like this in the US when we started, and there is virtually nothing like it in the world. We saw a unique opportunity to extend our specialised healthcare services into the global market.”
The databases are available to consumers, insurers, and multinational corporations through both web-based and nurse-assisted searches.
The launch of the UK service is coming soon. Meanwhile the US service can be viewed at www.bestdoctors.com.
