Norwich Union Healthcare has improved its global care company and individual private medical policies.

Global Care has introduced a compassionate travel benefit: travel to attend the funeral on the death of a close relative; introduction of one follow-up outpatient consultation and ten sessions of outpatient physiotherpay following eligible inpatient treatment on specialist referral.

Global Care Plus also sees the introduction of compassionate travel benefit: increased routine dental cover (up to £500), introduction of voluntary excess options giving premium discounts (£100 excess equals 10% discount and £250 will equal 20% discount).

The emergency dental treatment benefit on both policies has also been improved – the 48-hour time limit for treatment has been removed and the benefit has been extended to include reconstructive treatment as well as pain relief.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
