The BGL Group has appointed Cian Murphy as associate director for insurer development.

He will lead the insurer development team, responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with BGL’s insurance partners.

Murphy will report to BGL Group product development director Will Price.

Price said: “Cian’s experience in adding commercial value to existing contracts and his strong insight into the personal lines sector will be a real asset to both our partners and the team.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
