President Greg Case says it's about getting better, not bigger

Aon president Greg Case has indicated that the global broker is not currently focused on a major acquisition.

Responding to a question on whether Aon was in the market for acquisitions following his keynote presentation at this year’s Biba conference, Case said: “It’s not about size, it’s about content and capability. It’s not about getting bigger, it’s about getting better. I like the footprint that we have.”

Case said in his conference opening presentation that predictions that technological improvements would result in the demise of the broker, which were widespread in the 1990s, had proved wide of the mark. But he said that brokers needed to avoid being complacent by focusing on their clients’ needs.
