litigation, according to James Dingeman QC. He advised brokers to take practical steps such as taking notes during meetings with clients and writing a contract with clients each time, rather than relying on a standard form of wordings.
Record attendances
This year’s conference was officially the biggest yet, according to figures from Biba. In total, there were 3,284 attendees, beating the previous record of 2,040 attendees. Next year’s
conference will be held in Glasgow.

QBE launched a small
business policy, suitable for micro-businesses and one-man consultants. The insurer said it provided all necessary cover in one package, although cover could be bought on a stand-alone basis.
