RP Hodson, one of the UK's largest privately owned brokers, has bought Leslie Alan Insurance Brokers for around £400,000.
Leslie Alan, based in the City of London, has insurance income of around £1.5m a year. Its managing director, David Rayment, will become a divisional director of R P Hodson (London).
The move follows the recent acquisition by Hodson of a 76% stake in John Wimble Insurance Brokers, another City firm.
The combined business of RP Hodson (London), John Wimble and Leslie Alan will trade under one roof from new offices in east London.
Hodson's managing director, Phillip Hodson, said: “By acquiring Leslie Alan we've brought some high-quality commercial insurance clients under our umbrella.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
