Beckenham-based Bluett Smith & Company and Jones Lane Insurance Services based at Aylesford near Maidstone, were bought for undisclosed sums. "We are fortunate to have found two such good quality firms to join our group," said Bishops chairman Geoffrey Bishop. Bishops associated IFA company, AFPS, is to acquire the business of Bluett Smith Financial Planning Services. The entire deal gives Bishops and AFPS a combined brokerage income in excess of £5 million.
