Bland Bankart has won the contract to administer a household insurance scheme for the Swansea Building Society.
All policy documentation and claims handling will be dealt with by Bland Bankart's personal insurance division, based at Thurmaston, Leicester.
Director of personal lines Stephen Webb said: “Most building societies see linking household insurance to mortgages as a natural extension to their core services.
“The Swansea Building Society did not wish to tie up internal resource administering the scheme.”
The society intends to increase assets to £50m within the next three years. The Swansea Building Society has around 5,000 mortgage and investment accounts handled by 16 staff and is one of only three Welsh-owned societies.
It aims to double sales of insurance-based products.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
