Mike Bruce appointed chief development officer at Bluefin

Bluefin has appointed Mike Bruce as chief development officer.

Bruce, the ex-group managing director of Heath Lambert, takes up the role on 1 March 2010.

Bluefin chief executive Stuart Reid said: "We are delighted that Mike has chosen to join us at this important time in our development. We are lucky, very lucky, to get him. He is well known as an industry heavyweight and his knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we grow our business."

Bruce will become a member of the management committee and will be responsible for the development and implementation of Bluefin’s strategies for underwriting services, claims operations and client services.

Bruce added: "Bluefin is a top ten broker at the start of a challenging journey and I can’t think of a better opportunity in the market today. I’ve been impressed by the enthusiasm and professionalism of the senior management team and I’m looking forward to being a part of it."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
