Brilliant hindsight

I am writing about your article "Groupama focus switches to SME" (23 May, Insurance Times) and in particular the comments by managing director Tim Ablett of their bright idea to recommend alarms to clients at the underwriting stage rather than after claims.

What an ingenious and novel idea. The words "horse" and "bolted" spring to mind.

Perhaps they should have looked deeper into the definition of the phrase "underwriting stage" a few years ago. Still, if they follow such words of wisdom in the future there's still hope.
