Brit Insurance has appointed Simon Stonehouse as hull underwriter on behalf of both Brit Syndicate Limited's Syndicate 2987 and Brit Insurance Limited with effect from 1 September.
The appointment was in preparation for the retirement of Peter Chrismas in October, said Brit.
Stonehouse, who has deputised on the marine hull account since 1993, has more than 20 years' experience in marine underwriting.
