The news that several 'lucky' brokers were treated to a Shania Twain concert last week courtesy of Ken Wallace caused Backchat to turn green (not with envy).

As Backchat hears it, front row tickets allowed one broker close enough to jostle for Twain's autograph. The broker in question claims he was seeking the autograph for Wallace's daughter. Some brokers will do anything to keep their insurer partners happy, but as Twain would say: "That don't impress me much."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
