A number of key appointments for the insurance industry
Prime Minister Gordon Brown has made a number of Cabinet appointments of importance to the insurance industry.
Brownite Alistair Darling becomes Chancellor, while Jack Straw is Justice Secretary. Meanwhile, Hilary Benn takes on the environment brief and Peter Hain is responsible for work and pensions. John Hutton takes on the business and enterprise portfolio.
