Bupa is to slash rates for critical illness protection by 5% from 1 March, the medical group announced today.
Director of individual protection Steve Payne said: "We are committed to growth in the protection market and, to do that, we need to remain competitive.”
The company reported an 84% growth in new business in the sector last year.
