After an errant hack had accidentally joined DM director Mike Dickson in bed at the last conference, fellow director Charles Manchester was heard to say that he was considering taking out a contingency policy against any such risk this year.
Instead, he opted for the much more direct insurance of a digital camera. The broker claimed he had more chance of getting his money back that way.
