The International Underwriting Association has appointed Tony Medniuk as its new chairman.
Medniuk, group chief executive of Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers, takes over from Stephen Cane, chief executive of Alea London.
Medniuk said: "I am certain that the drive to streamline the London market by greater leverage of technology, so as to make it the most attractive centre in which to conduct business, will continue as a core priority of the IUA.
“Also representing the interests of London's wholesale insurance and reinsurance market to governments, regulators and other institutions will remain a very important part of what we do.
