The My Account facility can store receipts, MOTs and insurance details securely

Carole Nash’s Cherished Cars division has launched an online service to help policyholders manage their policies and nominate preferred repairs.

The new My Account facility will be able to store receipts, MOTs and insurance details in a secure document so that owners can easily access their vehicle’s history electronically.

The system can also be used to nominate preferred repairers for each policy so that in the event of a claim Carole Nash can advise the relevant insurer of where mechanical and bodywork repairs should be carried out.

Policyholders will also be able to review all the policies they hold with Carole Nash and see quotes they have been given for other vehicles.

Carole Nash director of Cherished Cars Peter McIlvenny said: “This is not simply about going online because it’s the done thing, it’s about going online and improving the experience for our customers.

“We want to make it easier for them to go through necessary processes such as agreed value whilst making use of technology to let them do things that they couldn’t previously.”

There are also plans to introduce a facility which will enable mid-term policy amendments to be made.
